meet bree!

Brianna Shields is an Ontario Certified Teacher and Certified Forest Therapy Guide (Global Institute of Forest Therapy) who has worked in Environmental Education for over a decade. She is passionate about connecting people with their natural environment, and through her outdoor programming began to see the positive physical and mental benefits of spending mindful time in nature. Experiencing this, as well as the healing the natural world can provide after periods of grief, disconnect, or any kind of additional stress, led to her exploring and becoming certified in Forest Therapy.

Brianna has a degree in Psychology, and has taken a post graduate certificate in Thanatology (the study of death and dying) to further her work with palliative patients and their families, and be better able to support people experiencing any form of loss. She offers specialized grief and bereavement walks alongside her classic Nature Connection and Forest Therapy walks for individuals, families, and the general public.
